If you're happy and you know it.....

The United States Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The Bible talks about being happy—it’s a good thing to be happy, and while it is not “joy”, to little boys and girl, being happy is the goal of life; later that emotion can be used as a spiritual tool for teaching the greater virtue of joy.  My children want nothing more than to be happy!  They find happiness, most often, at McDonalds, with bottle of Cheerwine, with a UPS package and with most of the things Julie...

Pick it up and read it..........

Why Read the Bible?   The answer is quick and simply, from my point of view:  It is essential for spiritual growth. Period.   I recently read the longest chapter in the Bible—Psalm 119.  My favorite part of this is at the beginning where the Psalmist asks: “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
